Tirzah Conference Dublin 2012
- On Saturday 10th November we organised our first conference entitled “Human Trafficking: How can the Church Respond?”
- Approximately 100 attendees came from all over Ireland to be at the conference in the Pearse Hotel in Dublin. Those attending were eager to understand more about the issue of human trafficking, the push and pull factors associated with this injustice and how on a local and global level the Church can respond.
- The main speaker on the day was Jennifer Tunehag Roemhildt who came all the way from Sweden to be with us. Jennifer explained and gently challenged how all of us as individuals and together can transform the situation. Speakers from the Anti-Human Trafficking Unit, Turn Off the Red Light and Ruhama presented on the reality of human trafficking in Ireland. Afternoon workshops focused primarily on culture and what our response might be.
